Across Five Aprils: Living In The Moment EP
Living In The Moment by Across Five Aprils
Released on September 14, 2004 through Indianola Records, Living In The Moment was the first and only EP released by Tennessee post-hardcore band Across Five Aprils. Serving as the bridge between A Tragedy in Progress and Collapse, the EP showcased the band refining their melodic hardcore sound while still maintaining the raw emotional energy that helped build their underground following.
The release also marked an important transition period for the band. It was the final release featuring founding vocalist Steve Taylor and bassist Jason Barry, while also introducing guitarist Jarrod Smith into the lineup. Recorded in May 2004 at XadeX Studios and produced alongside John Taylor, the EP blended chaotic heaviness with more melodic and atmospheric songwriting.
